Baykar has completed its acquisition of Piaggio Aerospace, the 140-year-old Italian aviation giant. Under the agreement, Piaggio’s facilities will serve as a strategic European hub for producing both the P.180 Avanti Evo and Baykar’s indigenously UCAVs.

The most recent trials included evaluations of its vision-based, AI-assisted fully automatic takeoff and landing systems.
Bayraktar TB3, the first UCAV in global aviation history to autonomously take off and land on a short-runway vessel, achieved a major success on the Distinguished Observer Day of the SEAWOLF 2025 Exercise.
